Toshiba Satellite P105 Crashes with R11

I have a Toshiba Satellite P105 laptop with T7200 CPU with 2GB of Ram and Nvidia Geforce Go 7900GS video card. I'm running XP/SP2 with a Archicad educational license. When I had R10 installed the system would crash when I opened a commercial file. I overcame this by opening the files on another computer and then saving them after they were converted and then copying them to my laptop. Now on R11, the system crashes at any time. Once Archicad crashes in a file, the file becomes unopenable (Archicad crashes before the file is opened).

The school I attend is pushing Archicad so I need to be able to run it on my laptop. I would appreciate any help.

check that you have the latest drivers for your nvidia card.
