topic Epson 3000 in Installation & update

<T>I have an Epson 3000 printer and have been using it for over 4 years. Does upto full A2 in brilliant colour and it is a terrifice machine. One irritation is the slowness of cancelling a print job. If I discover a mistake whilst printing a published set, and cancel or delete the print job, it can take many minutes for this to take effect. I invariable find that cancelling a print job involves turning the printer off to delete stray codes, etc. Is this normal for the Epson printer?

I am running the printer and computer over a small local network (6 computers plus one HP100 plotter and HP 1220 deskjet). We have a router but no server.</T>

Sadly, this is our experience also. Love the printer, hate the driver. Any Unix geeks out there that could give us a way to cancel a print job via the terminal? I think that woulod be our best bet.

We have an Epson Stylus Color 1160 (A3+ printer) which does the same. After cancelling the job, I sometimes have to run to the other room to turn off the printer. I usually just take out a paper from the sheet feeder and then turn it off.
