topic Archicad 8 / Toolbars dissapear after dimensioning tool in Installation & update

<T>Hi there,
What is happening as follows:

When dimensioning a wall, click on each end of the wall, click on OK and then click elsewhere to bring up the dimensions, but it does not (show the dimensions). At this point the program stops responding for a while, then the toolbars dissapear and stay gone.

Dimensioning works fine in new documents but not this one.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
You could try the "New & Reset - Merge" tip listed here:
<S></S><LINK_TEXT text="http://www.graphisoft.com/community/arc ... .php?t=973">http://www.graphisoft.com/community/archicad-talk/viewtopic.php?t=973</LINK_TEXT><E></E>

I tried that solution, unfortunately it didnt work.

What I ended up doing was creating a new/reset document, recreating the stories and then copying every story across from the corrupt document.

Other than loosing my pencil, texture and layer settings (fixed in about two hours) it came through fine.

Oh well, these things happen.
