Thank for the prompt reply. I can use my printer and plotter with the new parallel card. Ver. 7.3 won't pick up the protection key attached to it. I wll speak to the dealership tomorrow about my problem. Thanks again. Jim T.

I have ver. 7. and recently bought a new computer w/ windows xp professional. The new computer had only usb connections so I bought a parallel card and installed it. My problem is my ver. 7 will not or cannot read the protection key and will not allow me into the program. What is the solution? Will I have to get a usb protection key or is there something to be done with the key I have. I was running windows 98 and everything was ok.

Check whether your parallel card is working first. Attach a printer or something else. If that works, the key should also work. If that fails, call your dealer and ask for the replacement key.

He will probably ask you to upgrade, which is not a bad idea at all!
