I posted it on the Graphisoft Test Track and I got a reponse from them as follows. Can anyone tell me how to delete the printers?

Hi,

This crash comes when the software reads the printer settings from
preferences.
Please delete the preferences or set an other printer.

Regards,

<R>Dear all,

One of our customers had 12 licenses of ArchiCAD on Win XP Professional service Pack 2. The problem with him is ArchiCAD is crashing on Start Up and displaying the bug report.

We tried uninstalling the Antivirus and starting ArchiCAD, also we reinstalled QuickTime but nothing seems to work. ArchiCAD is still crashing on all the systems.

Any one had a similar kind of experience. Please let me know for any fix.

cheers,
Srini.</R>

Thanks Djordje. It seems the problem got fixed by changing the default printer drivers. Please Explain me more about the PRF file and why they needs to be deleted.

cheers,
If very bad things happen, the preferences might get corrupted. Therefore, when troubleshooting, it is best to remove (not necessarily delete) the existing preferences, and start with a clean slate.
