topic 9600 Pro problem in Installation & update

<R>Dear people,
I have just upgraded to ATI 9600 Pro from 7500 in order to be able to work faster with complex 3D models.
However, when I try to see a model in axonometry mode,in phase 12 (converting model) the system crashes (blue screen of death with an error about the ATI driver.)
Has anyone else experienced that?
I must also say that I have upgraded to the latest Catalyst drivers. When I was using the drivers that came with the CD-Rom ArchiCAD just stopped responding,so I guess the upgrade was worth the 30MB download...<E>🙂</E>
Thank you in advance and any comments are welcome</R>

I must also say that this happens when using OpenGL for 3D representation and only with complex models.Any suggestions?Djordje, I have noticed you've been working with ATI a lot (against your will)..Any suggestions on that matter?

PC? Mac? OS? Include the data in the signature, please!

If PC, buy a nVidia.

I am not having big or any troubles with the ATI now, BUT - it VERY MUCH depends EXACTLY which chip and who made the whole card. All drivers are not for all cards and so on ...

It's a PC running WinXP (P4 1,8 GHz with 768MB Ram)
The card is manufactured by CP according to Sandra 2003
Anyone has faced this problem before?
