We just changed our server to OS X.3 from IP6.3. Our windows computers are now timing out whenever they try to save to the server or send/receive. Not a problem with the Macs. AC7r3.

You probably need to enable SMB services. I am not a networking guru so I am not sure of the details, but it is probably as simple as opening the admin tools and turning on Windows file sharing.

Thanks, Matthew, but we did get the smb going and we're not having this problem with Excel or other apps. We double checked the "inherit privledges" stuff as well.

This is a problem for both .pln and TW. The files are fairly large - 50mb+.

All thoughts are appreciated.

I guess I didn't read your post carefully enough. I see now that is not a problem with access but only saving. Can you save from PlotMaker? Can you save modules, drawings or renderings from ArchiCAD? I suspect that you may have uncovered a bug and should report the situation to Graphisoft.
