archicad 10 minimum system requirements

i see there is minimum 1gb ram for archicad 10, some of the PC's in our office have 512mb of ram and my boss has asked if we can leave them at 512 (for now) and still run archicad 10 on them, obviously it will be slower but will mean we can get all the machines in the office upgraded from 9 to 10.

If your question is "will is matter", yeah, it's going to be S...l...o...w. I would recommend at least 1.5, if not 2.0 GB for any machine doing any kind of production work on Archicad. Yes, it will run though.

Remember, it's not just the program. It's the operating system, email, web browser, AIM, and whatever else people are running that will slow it down too.

What are the machine specs otherwise?

they are dell machines varying from 1.6ghz to 2.6ghz, all on XP pro with pretty decent graphics cards.

if it was up to me they'd all have 2 or 4gb of ram but unfortunately its not up to me!

Just be ready for a lot of complaints that AC10 is slow... they will blame the program even though you know it's really the hardware
