    <description>While in the section/elevation you want to "turn off auto rebuild" for, go to &lt;B&gt;Display -&amp;gt; Sections/Elevations -&amp;gt; Unlink from Model&lt;/B&gt; (see attached pic).&lt;BR /&gt;

If you want to "turn off auto rebuild" in the 3d window, go to &lt;B&gt;Options -&amp;gt; Preferences -&amp;gt; Imaging &amp;amp; Calculations...&lt;/B&gt; and under &lt;B&gt;3D Window Rebuild Controls:&lt;/B&gt; unselect &lt;B&gt;Auto-Rebuild 3D Window when activated&lt;/B&gt;.&lt;BR /&gt;

      <description>The only way to stop the auto-rebuild is to convert the section to a drawing (which Graphisoft unfortunately calls "unlinking"). If it were possible to turn off the auto-rebuild I would probably keep my elevations live model views.</description>
