Hi Larry,

You are probably switching to an all black penset by accident.

Are you working with viewpoints or views? Views maintain their pen settings regardless, whilst viewpoints can take on the settings of a previously opened view.

If this is the problem, the solution is to either manually change the penset back again (in 'documents' 'pensets') or activate the view which has the correct penset assigned.

Hope that helps.

<T>ArchiCAD 11
MacOS X (10.5.6)

Sometimes, for no apparent reason, I'll be working away on a drawing that uses lines and fills of different colors (white background), and suddenly all my lines and fills change to black. I can get it to go back to the way it should be by closing the file and re-opening it, but does anyone know why this occurs, or how to prevent it?
Thanks in advance for your help.
Larry</T>

Thanks, Peter...

I am using views, but it happens without changing views or viewpoints, or anything. Sometimes, just zooming in or out will make it change. I have discovered that simply saving will make it change back, for some reason.
Sounds to me like some kind of a display problem.
You could try a graphics card driver update to its latest version.
