Just zone tool do not extract this chimney from calculated area.

How To: Make Chimney?

<T>I'm putting in a masonry/block chimney that extends from the basement level through the first floor up through the roof. I'm using the slab tool. The home story is set to the first floor. For some reason, even though the settings are set to have cut lines show solid, it's showing dashed on the basement level and dash dot dash on the second floor & roof levels ( I would expect this graphically as it's below or above the home story, but I set it to show on all stories). Where are the settings to change this? Is there a simple way to do this? Do I have to have multiple slabs for each floor? Someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong...

Thanks,</T>

Steve,
First of all, I look your new look.

The limitations your are experiencing are because you are using a tool that wasn't designed to do what you want. Most would build a 30' high chimney with walls. Even if it were meant to be a giant chunk-o-'crete, it would be done in real-life in several pours. You could stay with the slab tool and stack several,
or
I suggest using the wall tool and set the walls to All Relevant stories.

Ok, I'll use the wall tool. Wasn't sure how to go about that. Thanks.
