You can also use a polygonal Wall for the thicker portion.
Check the attached image.
I have shown it with Reference Lines visible so you see how the Walls' geometries were created.

<T>Hello forum,
I have a completely "noobish" question, but its driving me mad.
So, I have this wall (1) and I want to create a second wall (2) in front of it,
they both have the same height , actually they are connected to the top floor.
But for the life of me, I cannot have the black border line gone,so they appear as one.
Any suggestions?
Cheers</T>

............ or you can split the wall and use a second wall as a pier.
The col tool doesn't always play nice Ensure your ref line connects.

Thank you both for the answers!
I already knew I could use the column, I should have clarified that I want to see if I can get the wanted result with using only the wall tool.
Rod could you please explain a bit more what you mean?
I've tried it and it works well, If your wall is "base" profile it works, if your wall is "composite" profile you need to create another composite profile with the right thickness, and it works (if you don't mess up intersection priority..) please try again.

Hehe, I know its weird. The weirdest thing about it, is that in the same project, I have the same connection between walls on another side, but it works!
By now I found a solution, I have used the column as previously suggested and now I am mainly trying to figure it out just for training reasons.

I use 2 wall types one 110mm and the other 230mm
Same material and have reference lines meeting.
I use this particularly with face brick walls, otherwise
use the col tool.

In 3D select your walls and set material origin to start
at the same starting point.

Thanks Lazlo, this worked. To be completely honest I am kinda baffled on how (even) simple walls can connect properly. I fail to understand the logic behind the wall tool so I am at a trial & error phase. :S
