    <description>No the whole idea is when two surfaces join with the same material it is expected that you would want a seam-less join.&lt;BR /&gt;
You will need to change to a new material but all you need to do is duplicate the existing material and give it a slightly different name.&lt;BR /&gt;
i.e. "column material 1" and "column material 2".&lt;BR /&gt;

      <description>&lt;DIV class="actalk-migrated-content"&gt;&lt;T&gt;A question on the display of Vectorial Hatching in the elevation tool. &lt;BR /&gt;
&lt;BR /&gt;
Two identical elements are placed together, in this case two columns. &lt;BR /&gt;
They have the same material, therefore the same vectorial hatch in elevation. &lt;BR /&gt;
&lt;BR /&gt;
Short of assigning them different materials, is there a setting which allows the identical objects to display as two elements, rather than one blended mass. &lt;BR /&gt;
&lt;BR /&gt;
