<T>i am experiencing a weird glitch with one of my multi-plane geometry roof. one of the planes just disappears. it is a clover shaped gable roof. if i move the edge of the plane that has disappeared a 1/16th in ieither direction, it reappears, if i change the pitch it reappeard, but if i put it exactly where it is supposed to go, it disappears. i saw several other threads with similar issue, but no clear resolution. i think it is a siympton of an extra node at the confluence of the ridges, but how do I fix it with out some wanky work around?</T>

You don't say what version of Archicad you are using - also you operating system.
Best to add this to your signature in the Profile link at the top of the forum so it is in every post you make automatically.

I had no trouble with the same roof in 17 (latest hotfix).
Did you model it as one roof or did you connect roofs together.
If modelled as one roof did you model a rectangular roof and edit nodes to get the shape you want or did you model the entire clover shape straight up?
I did it both ways with no problems.
oh sorry about that...

I am running ArchiCAD 18

i have both a Mac Station (Imac running OS 10.9.2, 3.4 GHZ intel Core i7, 32 GB 1333MHz DDR3)

and Windows station (HP palion dv7 laptop running Windows 7 service pack 1, intel Core i7-2630 CPU@2.oooGhz, 8 GB RAM, 64 bit operating system)

the issue happens regardless of mac or windows.

I just tried in 18 and had no problems.
Can you show an image with your roof selected to show the extra node?
I've had this bug once, the way to fix it was to extend the pivot line a bit.

In the end we reverted to single plane roofs as there were more issues with multiplane one (not being able to allign the texture/vectorial hatch, no snap function on cut plane in plan file, roof edges resetting to vertical whenever we added something to geometry... the list goes on, this was all in ArchiCAD 15, behaviour may have improved now)
