Are you sure it's not just the old 'complex profile just disappearing in sections for no good reason' problem that has been around for a while?

here here and here

I find the easiest way to get it back is to physically move the elevation one metre away, activate and regenerate the view, then move it back again, and regenerate again. Even then there is no guarantee it wont happen again!

<T>For some reason I am having trouble getting some walls with the log option checked to display in my sections. Some display just fine, while others seem to have trouble. Please see the attached image. Note that the wall on the left displays just fine, while the one on the right side of the building seems sketchy at best. Any ideas? Thanks!!
You may have two identical walls
occupying the same position.
In plan, find a node and select
only one of the walls and delete it.
If the wall disappears you can always undo.
No, there is definitely only one wall there. That was actually one of the first things I looked at. Thanks though!

Hi Chris,

Please click the "Profile" text link above and put your AC version and machine info in your signature.

If you want, you could select all of the walls seen in that elevation and from the File menu, Save Selection as Module - then create a zip of the resulting MOD file and attach it here.

Thanks,
Unfortunately I cannot get the zipped up mod under 250K... I only have that wall selected and it still comes out at 348K! I have also updated my profile. Thanks for reminding me Karl.

Is there a lower level wall extending up too high. Or maybe the wall's base is lower and interfering below?

There are no other elements interfering with the wall. I have even tried to re-cut the section, and if anything it makes it worse in that the wall disappears completely.

If you just drag the wall away from the building and closer to the elevation cut - so that it is not intersecting with any other elements - does it show properly then?
This was a really weird one that exposes a bug that I'll report.

In Chris' screenshot, it is the wall at the right that is being cut that is the problem. It turns out that there is a window in the wall, completely outside of the section cut range. It is set for 'studwall with siding'. Merely changing it to 'studwall' gets the section to show correctly. Oddly, dragging that wall to the right so that it is not attached to the building also gets the wall to display correctly.

As he said, there were no overlapping elements, no solid element ops, etc. Very surprising to me that a window can affect the display of part of the wall that isn't even near it.

Cheers,
