<T>I have three separate files which I want to combine. Two were modeled using Archicad 17 on windows computers and combine perfectly when merged or pasted. But the third was modeled on a mac computer.

This file opens as normal for me but when I either try to merge it with the others or merge the others into it, everything becomes grey and becomes un editable</T>

Operating System should not affect the merge command. If so try opening the problem file by itself and resave in your Win machine, it might be that the "problem" file has all layers locked within it or that it has linked modules, etc.
