<R>Hi All,

I am trying to get ArchiCAD to provide me with total surface area of the roof of a residential project. What I don't understand is why it produces 3 different values all under separate "Surface" columns. Which one should I go with?

Thanks,

Top surface, Bottom surface, edge surface. [almost certain]

You probably have some perpendicular roof edges that make the underside smaller in area.

If you made all roofs with vertical sides, top and bottom areas would be equal
