Wall cut impossible if just below railing ?

Hi,
I'm trying to cut a wall under a stair but i'm just below the railing and the wall won't be cut, if i edit my stair to remove the railing the wall will be cut.

It seems that the railing prevent the wall to be cut.

So, my question is how to have my railing and the wall at the same time ?

I'm using Archicad V10

How are you doing it? If I understood well what you want you should try the SEO with the "subtraction with upwards extrusion" option. (of course, the wall should be the operator and the stair the target...)

don't get me wrong i'm using the SEO commande and it's working just fine, but not if the wall is just beneath the railing.

Even more, moving the new cut wall (made in the center of the stair) below the railing render the SEO commande ineffective in the 3D plan.

Moving back the wall again past the railing the wall retake the past subtraction.
