AC12 very very slow to start

Hi, I have been using Archicad for some time but since switching to v12 edu it is taking a very long time to start up. Sometimes even upto an hour!!

It does not seem to be my pc as all of my other applications are running fine and archicad has always run well on my machine before. This seems to be a sudden change.

If anyone has any clue then I would really appreciate it because, as Im sure you can understand, it is annoying to say the least!

I just did a search using 'vista installation' and came up with quite a few posts. Why don't you do this search and check out the solutions?

I have looked through those aswell as I was trying to cover any possible problem. I cant find anything that is much help for my particular problem though. I was also not sure if it is a installation problem as AC runs fine when it eventually starts but I am no expert on these matters.

Hi Rick,
I had spotted that thread before but I found a preferences clean up tool for v12. It seems to have helped a bit but it is still slow. Maybe I should try doing it manually.
