Sounds like you closed your Info Box palette. Go to the Windows menu > Palettes to get it back.

<R>I am a new user and while just going through toolbars and toolbox settings, I must have turned off something that controls the display of the selections such as slab "Rectangle, Polygon, etc. selection icons. The icons for wall "Single, Chain, etc." also disappeared.
Now, all I can draw is slab rectangles and wall singles. One can't do much with those limitations. Although I never claimed to be a great designer, I am kind of limited now.
If you know what controls the icon display, I would certainly appreciate your help.
Thanks in advance for any assistance.
Thank you very much. That was exactly what happened. After turning it on, I made a shortcut key that toggles it back on. That way, if it ever happens again, I'll just touch the key and be happily on my way.
Having fun with Archicad,
