<T>Curtain walls sections appear correctly in Sections, Elevations and 3D, however, they do not show at all in plans.

I have tried rebuilding, refresh, saving and loading the program, looking for filters, hidden layers and nothing seems to work,

I will appreciate hearing for some other users experiencing problems with Curtain Walls. I never had these problems with earlier versions.

Thanks in advance for your help</T>

Just a guess but check your renovation status and cut plane setting.

Thanks for your reply.
Unfortunately, it is not that. I failed to mention that in the next bay (adjacent space between columns) I have sections of curtain walls that show both in plan, section, 3D, etc

That's not all, in another location, I have a scheme exactly the same, have check the settings over and over and the wall "draws" with a height different that the sum of the numerical entries.

I suspect that there are some obscure setting I have not encountered or there are serious problems in this file.

Saludos !!

Conrado:

Try also looking at the Floor Plan and Section > Floor Plan Display area of the Curtain Walls Settings, and see if these match the settings of a visible Curtain Wall. I don't think there were any changes to the Curtain Wall in AC18.
Thanks for the answer David, but it is not that either.
All my problems surface on Friday's; go figure.
I am waiting for Monday to call GS and see if I they would like to "see" what I am talking about.
The file is too big to e-mail so I'll try early to beat the Monday crowd.
If I learn something worth it, I will share it here.
One last thought: is he CW assigned to the correct Home Story? If not, select the CW, right-click, and select the Relink Home Story... command.

David and others following this topic.

Relink to Home story did fix the problem. Ugly, ugly, ugly !!

Cannot work from floor plan since the object disappears and cannot "pick" it.
Have to do it in 3D to visually see the effects.
I am glad is only a nine story building. What a pain.

Anyway, thanks for your insight, David

You can disable the setting that makes the object change stories based on the elevation. This will prevent the curtain wall moving from the story you assigned to it. I do not have AC open at this time but if I remember correctly on the 3D window there should be an option on the Tracker to change how the Elevation behaves.

This was a huge issue when 17 came out.
I believe with your help I have "mastered" the curtain wall tool (until next time I find another unknown button.

I would also like to share the problem I had editing (modifying) the bottom edge of the Scheme perimeter.
While editing and clicking on this edge, you may be selecting another edge superimposed or the reference edge happens to match the location od the Scheme edge.
So check and place your reference edge a few inches away and if you do not see it while editing, try zooming on a lower corner of the scheme and orbiting the image and you will see two different lines: the reference and the bottom edge of the Scheme.

I hope this to be of help to another user(s)
