Hi John

Don't forget that the menu won't list the Trace and Reference palette if you upgraded it from a previous version of ArchiCAD, because it never existed. So you will need to invoke an AC12 Command Layout Scheme (or profile that has an AC12 Command Layout Scheme). Alternatively you'll need to add the Show/Hide Trace and Reference command to your existing menu structure.

Cheers,
Hi Link-

I'm having the same problem as John...can't find the trace palette. I just started with AC12, but have AC7, AC9 and AC 10 on both machines (not AC11 though).

How do I "invoke an AC12 command layout scheme" and how do I "add the Show/Hide Trace and Reference command" to my existing menu structure?

Thanks for the help

Dale wrote:
How do I "invoke an AC12 command layout scheme" and how do I "add the Show/Hide Trace and Reference command" to my existing menu structure?

To simply invoke the standard AC12 Command Layout Scheme (which has the Trace & Reference palette already in the menu), you'll need to go to Options> Work Environment> Work Environment... then in the left pane click on Command Layout Scheme. And on the right select Standard Commands 12 and hit the Apply Scheme button. Then hit OK.

That's the easiest way but overrides the whole menu (& toolbar) structure. If that's not exactly what you wanted, then you'll need to create or modify a customized Command Layout Scheme and that takes a bit of explaining!

Cheers,
