Just select all of the roof surfaces you want calculated and go to the Calculate Menu, select List Elements - Basic and it will give you the areas of all of the different surfaces of the roof. You just need to use the top surface. It should be self evident which is which.</description>

      <description>I am definitely not the one to speak with any clarity to calculation items in this forum (and was actually waiting to hear from them), however and since they did not respond, the easiest way I perform that analysis is to select the items then use Window&amp;gt;Pallets&amp;gt;Element Information that will return information about the selected items, including area.  You have to add the areas up separately as there is no total.&lt;BR /&gt;

I know there are many others here with better ideas.&lt;BR /&gt;

      <description>Select the roof, then click Window &amp;gt; Floating Palettes &amp;gt; Element Info&lt;BR /&gt;
&lt;BR /&gt;
You will see several icons along the top that are toggles to show or hide information about what you have selected.</description>
