Is it possible to have the guide lines i've made visible all the time? As for now they disappear as soon as i draw, rotate or paste something etc. I want them to show even after an operation. Been drawing a lot in sketchup lately and been using the guide lines there frequently and gotten used to it.

How do I get in plan view the X and the Y axises to show has guidelines?
I also wonder how I can get The X,Y,Z axises to always wo up in 3D view.
Sometime i need to move big projects to reference point and it is much better to do that in 3D.</T>

Ah you don't get to see all the guidelines at once any more - not since version 15 when they changed.
You have to activate the guidelines and then select the one you want.

Here is one post I found that talks about the 'new' method.

<LINK_TEXT text="http://archicad-talk.graphisoft.com/vie ... hp?t=37976">http://archicad-talk.graphisoft.com/viewtopic.php?t=37976</LINK_TEXT>

Also look in the reference manual and on-line help.
No unfortunately the guidelines will delete once you have completed a command.

The only way you can do it is to have a layer that you can turn on/off as needed and place actual lines in it for your guides.

Make a wish in the wish section and you never no what might happen in future.
What I meant was you can remove all the guide lines if there are too many or they are in the wrong positions. Then you can generate just the guide lines you need.

In earlier versions guide lines used to just pop up all over the place and you could easily end up with too many.
Now you only activate the guide lines you need so there is probably no need to remove them.

You can turn the guides off before you draw your line but of course you won't have them to help you place the line.
Turning them back on afterwards won't bring back the earlier guide lines because they would all have been deleted once you completed your line.

There is a wish that has just been made relating to permanent guide lines.
Add your vote there if you haven't already.
