As to the buggy problem. You don't have a marquee active in plan view do you? I would think not but just checking. If so remove the marquee. Try toggling the F5 key and maybe Ctrl+Y to see if there is some sort of cutaway region causing an issue.

Also look at what other programs are running in the background, including anti-virus. See if anything outside ArchiCAD is interfering.

I did have a marquee actually. I used that to create a section and then press f5 to view in 3d. Should I then delete the marquee? thanks?

<T>Please help, my view perspective has broken/ buggy. I have also never been able to figure out how to view axonometric either.

Since this afternoon my perspective isn't working. It either shows a white screen or goes white when I pan or rotate. I have tried changing the 3d projection settings but they don't seem to help. I have also placed a camera on the plan but that behaves exactly the same as the perpsective.

When I DO see something, I can zoom in, however, it seem to cut the I have attached a pic to show the problem, it shows the model being cut as I zoom in.
model when I zoom. Like create a section. It seems to jump a lot too when I zoom and I can't go back unless I click on the last view icon.

Thanks</T>

Hi sweetie_candykim,
In short terms, something in your model is creating an error,
and now your project looks like Zaha Hadid on a bad day!
Your goal is to isolate the element causing the mess:

Hopefully you use layers. Switch them all off , and then turn only the 1st layer on. Switch to perspective view and check.
If I am right, you should see only part of the project, and that part should display OK.
Go on like this layer by layer untill you hit the bug.
You will probably have several elements on the buggy layer,
so now you have to isolate the buggy one.
Create a TEMPORARY layer and start moving elements to it one by one,
checking each time to see the results in 3D.
Hopefully you will find the bad element sooner or later.
Now, once you find it, you have several options:
1. If it is a Library Object - Take down its name and key parameters
and delete it. Save, Close, Open the project, Load a new instance of
the object and test.
2. If the bug is with an AC element you edited, usually a mesh or custom
profile, check to see if you have any sharp points, tangent curves or so
that might be generating an illigal 3D code. If you do - try remodeling
without this bit and test.
These are the two bugs I ever encountered, much less an issue with the display driver or hardware.
Hope this helps!
<E>🙂</E>
I have just realised I didn't have a marquee open here, but I did have one when I created a new section and the bug appeared in artlantis. I deleted the marquee and created a new artlantis file and that problem seemed to disappear.

I ended up resolving the problem on this file by copy and pasting everything and placing it into a new file. I tried merging it but the bug was still there.

I will try these solutions in future too. Thanks
