Just select the lines that you want to be a polyline and go to the Edit menu > Reshape > Unify. The individual line segments are replaced with a polyline.

You can select ALL of the lines. Unify will only turn those touching at their ends into polylines.

Richard wrote:
You can select ALL of the lines. Unify will only turn those touching at their ends into polylines.

Is there a toggle for this? When I select lines not touching any others they become polylines too.

Ahmed - Grouped lines are different to Polylines, but can be manipulated the same way. You can select a group of lines (eg. a rectangle) and suspend groups (Opt-G on Mac, ALT-G on PC) and then edit them using the pet palette in the same way as polylines, all affected lines will stretch.
