topic renovation tool - two openings for one window? V 16 in Modeling

<DIV class="actalk-migrated-content"><T>In renovation tool, am adding new skin (4" insulation with sheathing) to existing 2x4 frame. Insulation skin is drawn as "new" construction against edge of "existing" wall. When I place a window in the new skin layer however, I also need to cut an opening in the existing wall beyond. Is there an easy way to do this? Currently trying flat arch opening tool adjacent to window to cut a hole in the wall. Seems redundant and clumsy. Two holes cut, one is new skin, one in existing wall, for a single window opening.</T></DIV>

No, there is no easier way to do this. If you have two walls you need two openings.
