topic roof in Modeling

how can i connect these two parts of the roof strictly as they should be connected.
i've tried by fixing the angle of the other part, so they almost meet but it bugs me, i want to know how to do it right.

in plan view- select one roof plane. then ctrl key over the edge of the roof plane you wish the selected one to join with. the scissors should turn black. when they do then left click on d mouse.

then repeat the process for the other roof plane.
