elevation problem

<T>Until now when changing the home story of an element (wall, stair, or other object) it retained its elevation.

Now in AC17 this is changed, and the elevation is relative to the offset from home story... This is extremely problematic when changing stories to multiple objects, one has to be careful and manually change the elevation of each and every one element to have the correct height.

Why is that?

Is there any solution?</T>

The command to change the Home Story without moving in 3D is "Reassign Level"
Yep. Actually the command is "Relink Home Story" not "Reassign".
