Either it will not open the settings box or it will eventually crash after several attempts.

I've found a common thing in my ArchiCAD crashes:

It happens when i try to move some objects (simple objects, simple selection), and some dimensioning text was also selected, without the dimension line itself (they fell into the selection bounding box).
With very few selected objects everything is ok, but above about 10 things AC crashes (detailed workflow: selection - CTRL-D - click for vector 1st point - click for vector 2nd point - hour-glass mouse pointer for 1 sec. - bugreporter)

My Windows and AC11 is freshly reinstalled with all updates.
Anyone else has this probem? If so, let's flood Graphisoft with the bug reports. 🙂

Here is a file to recreate the crash.

no extra libraries.
one simple line.
one simple dimension.
the middle dimension point connects to no elements (squared point when entered).
select the line and one of the dimension numbers, move it and crash.

"works" on other computers in the office.

Please fix it ASAP.

Are you using Vista or XP?

We had similar issues on Vista with AC11. The problem went away after updating to the latest Microsoft DirectX version and also updating the video card driver.

piton,

Your description gave us the clue to the reproduction of this crash. (moving dimension text, but not the dimension line) This helps a lot in fixing this bug. Thank for posting.
