A. Did you try (if the file exported from Leica is an .dxf):
1. File > External Content > Place External Drawing.... *****.dxf
2. File > Libraries and objects > Import Blocks from DXF/DWG... *****.dxf

or

B. ..... (if the file exported from Leica is an .txt whith xyz coordinates):
3. Design > Place Mesh from Surveyors data....
the .txt file must be in the form like this:
Point+space+X coor+space+Y coor+space+Z coor....like the example bellow
1 389227.488 94168.787 223.10
2 389227.689 94168.549 223.11
3 389221.371 94167.261 223.44

C. ..... (if the file exported from Leica is an .xyz with 3D coordinates):
4. rename the file to .txt and then follow the paragraph "B"

<T>Afternoon,

I have been trying to import a .dxf 3d survey which I Export from the Leica 1200 GPS system. ArchiCAD dose not seam to be able to import this document.... it is only a TEXT file, or XYZ... is it possible to convert my .dxf to either of these, or is there another solution to my problem. Or does anybody work with a Leica 1200, and export the data and format it in a different way....?

Regards

OrkneyCAD</T>
