That is correct and that is the way that Archicad models the walls.
The only way to change it is to model every wall with the polygon method (not a good idea) or turn the Legacy mode on.

<R>Hello
Could someone advise how to get a mitred wall joint? I am working with concept wall tool.
This is what I need:<S></S></R>

and this is what I have:
<S>

Thank you in advance</S>

What do you need that for?

You could enable the legay option for walls, which then should miter the walls.

Would you mind explaining what legay option is? I need it for export to a different software. I need .IFC file to give me correct length of external wall. So far as they are cut like blocks one is shorter than the other. Hope it makes sense.

Try to use other geometry method of inserting your wall (see the screenshot),
maybe this will help you

Since version 16, walls no longer miter at corners.
The strongest building material of each skin will override and cut the weaker ones.
When two skins are the same strength Archicad chooses which cuts the other - you can change this with the junction order setting.

The only way to make the walls miter is to torn on the 'Legacy' mode ans mentioned by runxel.
Optons menu > Project Preferences > Legacy.
But this will have other consequences.

That is correct, one wall is shorter than the other so you get the correct quantities.
Measure the surface of the wall and you will get the correct overall lengths.
