Hello Laszlo,

thanks for your reply. Yes the problem is with the pens also. The problem might be easy, but I have little experience with Archicad.
I am attaching an image: On the top is the current slab in section with black lines. The view in the middle shows the settings of the slab. The bottom view shows the settings of the composite structure, where I have changed the pen of the lines. However they don't show on the slab section.

What can be wrong?

<T>Hello,

I am new to this forum and have a problem with lineweights in composite structures.
I have a floor slab that its lines appeared too thick on sections. I have edited the composite structure and changed the pens of each of the lines. However the pens on the particular slab that uses this composite structure have not been updated and the slab lines are still too thick.
I am using Archicad 19. What am I doing wrong?</T>

Could you post an image of the situation? Is it only the lineweights only or rather the Pens (Pens define both line color and lineweight).
Are section fills also affected or only lines?
Could it be that you have a Renovation Filter active in the Section?

alfani:

In your top image (the only one where the slab is not selected), there appear to be black dashed lines over the slab outlines which look like they are the correct color. Are you sure there are not other elements overlaying the slab in section? You might want to look at the slab in isolation from all other elements.

You should add a Signature to your Profile (click the Profile button near the top of this page) with your ArchiCAD version and operating system (see mine for an example) for more accurate help in this forum.
When I look at the image and see that black and blue dashed line at the top of the Slab, it is not possible to decide whether the black is the Slab and the blue is the Story Level line or vice versa.

What I am curious about is how those timber sections and that insulation got there in the Section. They are not part of the Slab Composite, I assume. So they must be coming from some other element. Is it possible that that other element has these black lines defined in it and those lines overlap the Slab lines in Section and this is why you do not see the Slab Composite's blue lines?

No sorry, I should have guessed that it would confuse you. The blue dashed line is from the floor level. The timber sections are 2d shapes that are added manually on the sections. Archicad version is 19. Attached the slab in isolation. Any ideas?

Check the Section Settings Dialog's Model Display panel.
Is the "Uniform Pen for Cut Elements" checkbox checked? That could cause such a behavior.
