topic Selecting Doors & Windows in Modeling

<T>Another extremely basic question.

I seem to have trouble selecting doors and windows after having placed them.

I hit the Tab button multiple times but this seems to toggle between the wall and slab a few times before getting to the door.
It seems I miss the "selecting handle" for the door or window,

Is there some trick to this, or a specific area on the door that the mouse pointer need to be at in order to easily select it?</T>

The door leaf end should have a selectable hotspot. Or the door marker.
General rule - if you have the correct tool selected, in this case the door tool, then a shift+click will always select the correct element.

If you have 'Quick Selection' active (the magnet - the space bar key is the temporary on/off toggle), you should find that you can hover anywhere over the opening in the wall and you should be able to select the door window.
Otherwise you have to select it by the corners of the opening or there should be a centre spot.
Or as mentioned there is usually one at the end of the door leaf.

Also as mentioned, having the door or window tool active and holding SHIFT while selecting, will give priority to selecting the door or window (or element belonging to the tool you have active).
