      <description>If you absolutely have to, place the image, select it and safe it as an object.&lt;BR /&gt;
Then place it with the object tool – you now can stretch it.</description>

I saved it as an object. then placed it with the object tool as you said but the object (the image that I saved as an object) that I place it is showing only white.</description>
