Missing Orange Dot Archicad 20 Mac

When I hover over the edge of a wall, the orange dot does not appear. So I cannot make a guideline with it.

How can I solve this?

Is the Guide Lines button pressed on your Standard Toolbar? It is the 6th button from the left, next to the Pick Up/Inject Parameters buttons.

Yes, the Guide Lines button is pressed on my Standard Toolbar. I have add a picture.

From your screenshot I see you are using ARCHICAD 20.
The way Guide Lines operate was modified in ARCHICAD 19. There is no longer an orange dot. Here is a YouTube playlist that will tell you all about the changes:

Do you know or does somebody else know if it is possible to enable the orange dot again in Archicad 20?

No, because the way Guide Lines and Snap Guides work has fundamentally changed so there is no longer an orange dot.
You will see why after you watched those clips. Invest in your ARCHICAD knowledge by watching them.

Last question. The youtube-link linked me to archicad 19 videos. Is that correct?

Yes, it is correct because these changes happened in ARCHICAD 19 and so the new feature clips were created at that time. They work the same way in ARCHICAD 20.
