So, this is an interesting problem:

What happens is this: I have a beam, that when set to Floor plan display - Cut only in the selection-settings, it disappears when looking at the model in 3D using the marquee-tool. While in 3D, hitting the Escape-button and then F5 to render the entire model, it magically appears.

However, if I change the Floor Plan Display value to Projected, it will render using the marquee-tool.

I have a total of 8 beams, and the seven others renderers like a charm as long as they are set to Projected. They are all on the same layer, and they were all created at the same time, so I don't think there are different settings that are the problem. Also, it doesn't matter which of the 8 I set to Cut only, when I do, it disappears.

Am I missing something, or is it a bug?

.Kamelite

Perhaps try uploading a module file of them do we can see if we can replicate the issue.
If your beam is set to display as 'Cut Only' then it may not display in floor plan (depends on the height of the beam).
Then if you use a single storey marquee you will not see it in 3D either simply because it is not there in plan.

You need to use the 'All Storey' (thick) marquee.

I planned to attach the Whole file, but size restrictions didn't allow it.

Anyway, I solved the problem that made me change the settings in the Floor Plan Display in the first Place, but I'm still curious about wether it's me or the software <E>🙂</E>
