If I recall correctly this has been acknowledged by GS "Selection is impossible in ArchiCAD 8.1 when snap grid is on and the reference point is not on the grid"

You'll need to turn the grid snap off to select.

<T>I cannot seem to select any slab, roof, or line object which is composed of odd angles (in some cases, any angles) when the grid snap option is turned on. If I turn grid snap off, I can select any object, whether angled or otherwise. What am I doing wrong? Is there a setting I need to alter?</T>
