<T>Hello.
I drew a complex roof and, when I open it into 3D view, it will not let me heighten the ridge or modify it in any way, as I know it can. What could be the issue?
Thank you.</T>

It is only a 'ridge' if the pitching (pivot) lines for those roof planes are parallel.
If they are at an angle to each other then it is a hip (sloping ridge) that bisects the angle of those pivot lines.
That is why you can't adjust it like you would if it was a ridge.
