topic Section problem? in Modeling

<T>I have a section that has for example, a 12" thick slab as a sub floor and have placed a beam with in that floor. In section I can not see the beam. I have also seo'ed the beam and still no luck. I can select the beam but it seams the slab still maskes the beam. I have changed the view settings to hide any fills, and also changed the display order to bring the beam to front. I thought I saw a topic on this once but could not find it. Any Ideas?

Thanks,
This may be a matter of intersection or skin Priorities as set up in the individual element dialogs.
Time to study the reference manual.

Do the slab and beam have the same section fill? This will cause them to clean up, eliminating separation lines, which will look the same as what you describe.
