hi there,

i am always having a problem with speed when i work with dwg and dxf files from autocad in the archicad environment. the programme slows down considerably. it takes a long time to finish loading the file and then every command you issue takes a while to execute.

1) Have you this problem only with AutoCAD Files in ArchiCAD or sometimes also normal *.PLN or *.PLA files are working dramatically slow?
2) Wich version of acad and ArchiCAD are you using?
3) Have you created your acad files in acad and then imported with AC? Or they was created in AC, then modified in acad, and backed to AC?

With the grouping off, check duplicates. There are millions, for sure. Also, check the fills, check the origin - are you very far away?

Please add to your signature the versions of ArchiCAD and other relevant software that you use ...
