<T>I'm a newbie in ArchiCAD and would like to know how to connect the two Top Rails as shown in the image. The idea is to connect the railing as continuous from ground floor to 2 Story. Is this possible? When I have tried to connect the two separate railing, the result is not good. Any advice?</T>

Select the longer Railing with the more Nodes, click its End Node and use the Continue Railing Reference Line command of the Pet Palette, and add the Nodes. Then you will probably have to make some more editing and tweaking to achieve the exact desired result. That is the only way, there is no command to "Unify" two connecting Railings.
