Polylines do not work with some of the 2D tools like intersect, where lines do work.

You can easily convert lines back to a polyline.

<T>Is it possible to convert a polyline to a line?

That and can you intersect a line and a polyline? As far as I'm aware, you can't, which is why I'd like to be able to convert a polyline to a line.</T>

You used to be able to this with explode, but now you'll end up with individual polylines.

Workaround: linework consolidation tool. This will explode polyline in to lines.

Hi, just as a side note, in case it helps for something, thought I use the Line consolidation tool to convert polylines to lines, which is the fastest method, but if you copy the polylines to the profile editor, just as if you were going to do a complex profile, they will come as lines too, so you just have to cut/paste them back to your plan.

So again, that is a longer process but just for the knowledge, just in case comes handy in any given situation.
