<T>I am having the following issues with openings using both the empty window and the opening tool

The 2d representation of an opening does not match the 3d model. Plus there are lines on the floor plan which should not be there. And it cuts through the floor finish, which should be seamless.

Is there a better method to show an opening in a wall?

Both are shown.</T>

Select the empty opening object and go to its properties.
Try and fix this issue with the Wall Closure section of settings.

Is it possible for you to just not put a Wall there?
Or create the Opening by placing the base of the Wall at the top of the intended Opening.
When using the "Rectangular Door Opening" is the Wall closure "Show in 3D" box checked?
