importing dwg as a trace and refference

Hi everyone,

I have made some blueprints in autocad that i'd like to import in my archicad.

I usually never have a problem doing this but this time Archicad doesn't give me the option of chosing a DWG-file.

Just to be clear, I made a new independent worksheet, chose the drawing tool en and clicked in the workspace. Then a dialogue box appeared with the possible files but it was empty since I can't choose a DWG fle.

Can please someone help me, I'm really short on time.

EDIT: I'm on archicad 21

Drag and drop the file in ArchiCAD should work.

Thanks for your reply but unfortunately it doesn't work...

Try drag and drop into floorplan, that should at least work, if the file is readable by archicad.

I just went through a similar problem, but with publishing to dwg. Perhaps it is a similar issue - see http://archicad-talk.graphisoft.com/viewtopic.php?t=58068

Yes, it looks like your DXW/DWG add-on is not installed.
The only way I know to fix this is to re-install (or maybe re-pair) Archicad as it is a built-in add-on.
