yes. I did import it, that is how I have a schedule. When I go to the set up list schemes it doesnt show, so that I can check that stupid radio button. Whose idea was it to not include that radio button on the schedule settings like it was in 7.0?

<T>Hey all archicadders, I have just tried to use a listing routine from 7.0 in 8.1, I have had some limited success. On my doors in 7.0 I had doors with no ID would not show up on the schedule. I cannot seem to find such a device on 8.1? I now have all of my arched openings showing up on my door schedule. Anybody have any ideas, that aren't too time consuming?</T>

There's an option for this under Calculate -> Set Up List Schemes... and under the Elements tab you have the option to Skip Elements without an associative label (or ...an empty ID field)

Hope this helps.

This doesn't seem to work with the interactive scheduler. I couldn't find my list scheme listed in the ones to alter. Do I need to load it somewhere? It is loaded in the interactive scheduler, because I see a schedule, but it has a bunch of doors I do not want to see.

Shae,
Is your schedule grayes out?If so, you may not be able to apply changes from your "set up list schemes" on it s elements tab. In AC hit the show all layers (or at least the layers with walls and windows on them and make sure they are not locked).
On the right of this tab scroll down to the AC-8_US section and go though the list schemes you want to have checked off the "do not show elements with empty IDs" for each scheme you want this to apply to. click OK. You may get some warnings, but whennext you go to you I.S. preview window your schedules should now not show those with empty I.D.s
Hope this helps
Shae,
Take a deep breath.
When you go to "Set up List schemes", on the right hand side of the box where it says "available List schemes" what is it set on?

If it is set on "basic" or and you are in the defualt settings, the settings are locked and grayed out.
Check that it is set on "element list set"

Thanks, Erika! I have called my reseller, he tells me that it has something to do with using 7.0 window and door openings in an 8.0 project. Not sure if he is right, but that is what I am going with here. My understanding is that, that list should show up to be edited in this menu. It does not show up.?????? I looked as you suggested and on the left I have default and us_db basic showing. I clicked on element in the default one, but shouldn't I be looking for my list like"vsi door schedule" and "vsi window schedule." Those lists are not there. I see the default archicad lists but not mine........Any ideas?
Your project schedule will not show up in the "set up list schemes" It will show up in Interactive Scheduler. theoretically anyway.

There is a bug when taking a project from 7 to 8. You need to have the special libraries that don't cause naming problems installed if you still have AC7 library parts. This is downloadable from the
tr.graphisoftus.com
site. The naming conventions of library parts changed in 8 adding an extra underscore in the names. If it is just a problem with a few parts, then manually change their names to the new convention. karl went over this with me, but not having implemented it yet I defer to his expertise.

"One more question. 8 thousand games of free cell at work"
what does this refer to?
