Try turning on the On-Screen Display Option: Walls & Beams Reference Lines and see if the Reference Lines for the two walls intersect.
Looks to me like there is something odd going on with wall heights and roof cuts. It might make more sense if you could show the same junction using the heavy marquee and view from the top left of your 2D plan.

Could there be another wall in a hidden layer that is hijacking the trim?
A wall can only trim to one other wall (at each end) and will trim to walls even in layers that are turned off.
Thank you for the replies.
I am afraid I do not have any hidden wall beneath these walls that are not intersecting properly.
This is how it all looks in 3D:

It looks to me like the wall(s) with the mitre is one big polygon wall.
These do not mitre automatically at corners.
You need to adjust the nodes manually.

Or delete it and replace it with standard or composite walls.

Thank you for your help. Yes, that was indeed a polygon wall. I adjusted the nodes, I made them both belong to the same layer and it finally worked.

Glad that was the solution.
Same layer or not will make no difference.
With a polygon wall you have to manually adjust the nodes to get the shape you want.
I would try to avoid using them unless you really have to.
