First thing to check is "Graphic Overrides" to see if they are affecting your drawing.

There may be model view overrides (MVO) settings which are changing the hatch patterns to solid

If you have no overrides in place then go through the wall tool settings to change colours & hatch patterns.

<T>I just started learning Archicad and had an issue. As I draw walls on my floor plan they appear in blue color. I want to change that to black or to a different hatch. I couldn't find it for hours. Can anyone help please?
Thanks</T>

The first thing to do would be let us know what version of Archicad you're running as answers will vary depending on this.

Then you could post a screen shot of your wall settings and we could point you in the right direction.
