Modify Shortcut profile

Hi guys,
How do I add new customised shortcuts to my own profile which already includes a lot of shortcuts. When I assign the new shortcut I seem to loose the others on my own shortcut profile. Is there a way to add them as you go along? I don't get how to do it, sorry....

In the Work Environment, select your shortcut scheme and make sure it has been applied so that your shortcuts are active.
Then edit the scheme to add/change the shortcuts as you want.
When finished you must "Redefine" your scheme so it saves the changes.
Make sure your shortcut scheme is being used in the active Work Environment profile (this controls all the separate schemes) and you should be good to go.
