Stair tool do not create landing

I am trying to create a stair and a landing, one way only, so very simple, but it si not possible. Once I made the flight the landing menu disappears and I can't create it.

Could you show screenshots of the situation? For example, the point where you see that you cannot create the Landing?

A stair and a landing? As in a landing at the top of a stair? You will have to make that with a slab or end with a tread and modify it's size.

Finally I made it work, but strangely creates an extra thread after placing the new landing.

As mentioned there is no need for a landing at the top - just end the stair with a riser (or you can end with a tread but you will have to hide lines) and the upper floor slab will be the landing.
